Accountancy

I currently hold the position of Office Manager and Accounts Assistant, with a highly successful family-run property Development Company in the South East.
Even though I have a lot of work experience, I have not invested in own knowledge in a very long time.
I have found that not knowing the theory behind bookkeeping and accounting has hindered my development. So my aim was to find a course that I could study around my family, as a mum of two children who are currently in primary school.
Thankfully I found ICS Learn!
At first, because I have been out of education for longer than I care to say, I thought the prospect of online learning would be quite daunting for me, but it has helped me engage in my family life, all while working towards a new qualification.
I don’t think I would have paid out a lump sum for the course as monthly is much more manageable and I can get on with the course much quicker.
I feel very lucky to have both found a provider that offers online learning, giving me both flexibility and the chance to further my career prospects again.
I am currently studying the AAT Level 2 Certificate, the first part of the AAT Level 2&3 Combined Certificate in Accounting, which I find the ICS Learn online tools and study material to be both useful and and easy to use.
My future plans would be to work for myself around my family. But for now just having some flexibility in my day is a good starting point. I have been applying for Bookkeeping jobs just for the extra training and income.
